Keeping your belongings safe this Christmas - Don’t tempt thieves by leaving gifts on view. 

Here are just a few tips to prevent opportunist thieves stealing from you this Christmas:

-Always keep your purse/wallet secure.

-Don’t leave your Christmas shopping or any other valuables on view in your car. Try to remove valuables from the car as soon as possible.

-Don’t leave presents or any other valuables where people can see them through your windows and doors.

-Ensure you lock your doors, front and back, even when you’re at home.

- Use a light timer or leave a light on if you’ll be out when its dark.

-If you’re going to be away this festive season, make sure your property is secure and locked, including your outer buildings including sheds/garages.

- If you are wanting to post anything on social media, make sure your posts are private, not public – don’t be advertising you have an empty house.

- It is advisable to ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye out on your home if you’re going to be away this festive season. This may include them taking in parcels left outside and maintaining a driveway presence.
